Yes.
That’s the short answer.
So, how does this work?
As an introvert I know what it is to feel that the sofa at home is the safest place in the world. How then, do we go about creating wonder in our lives and in the world? One thing is for sure, it’s not going to happen if we stay on the couch. We have to get ourselves out there and share our magic with others. We need to be courageous and bold enough to say to ourselves that our magic is unique, that it’s enough and that by sharing it will make other people’s lives better.
How do we actually do this though? Here are some guiding principles for my other introverted friends who are in business for themselves.
You gotta believe in something bigger than yourself.
There is NO way I could have created my business if it was just down to ME. Yes, we all need those people who can coach us, support us, encourage us and even laugh at us (which, with wisdom, you can turn into motivation) to help move us along our path. However, that doesn’t always help you get out of bed in the morning. If you’re too invested in how your tribe is responding to you and how many likes they give you, you’re setting yourself up to get crushed. What happens on that day when you feel low and you turn to your clients or tribe and they are busy doing their own thing? You can’t seek validation for your work from your clients. I know it’s tempting but here’s the cure – align yourself with Source. Make it your MOST important relationship. Seek guidance from Source. Receive love from Source. Go to Source for the guidance on the next steps. It has the answers if we are willing to open up and start the conversation. Learning how to communicate with the Divine is life changing, for good.
People are often SHOCKED to learn that for the first 5 years in my business I relied solely on my intuition. That’s right. No business plan, no projections and very little measurement. They say most business fail in the first 5 years, right? Divine guidance has brought me to a place of effectiveness and abundance by aligning with it. It will for you too.
2. Look to see the goodness in people.
When we work with the immutable laws of the Universe and the Law of One Mind – we realise that everything is connected. You are creating your own reality and your own dream. You are doing the best you can with the wisdom and experience you have. So are others, even if you see them doing things that don’t align with your values. When we choose to see the best in others, the Universe witnesses us choosing that and then through the Law of One Mind, others see the best in us. This makes it easier to put ourselves out there and share our gifts with others. It makes it easier to pick up the phone and do that Facebook live, or the video or start writing the blog. Choose to see the Universe as friendly and it will be.
When I first started doing Facebook lives what did I do? I pretended I was talking to myself! Why? Because that way I knew I had a friendly and receptive audience.
3. Be aware of the concert of spiritual theft.
When I first heard about this I was like “Whoa” and then I was like, “Oh that makes so much sense!” This is about getting out of your own way. This is the underlying prinicipal here – YOUR LIFE IS NOT ABOUT YOU – It’s about you being in service to others. Your ego might not like it but it’s true. It’s also glorious! When you can bring yourself into alignment with what the Universe wants and allow that energy, wisdom and awareness to move through you then amazing things open up in your world. Situations and occurances that you could never imagine yourself, come to pass.
Spiritual theft is the idea that if you have skills, talents and gifts to share with others that by NOT sharing them you are literally stealing from others! What does it take to get out of your own way and start sharing? Just that – start. Even if YOU think it’s no good, who is to say that it’s not reaching the right person, at the right time to help them smile a little, give them hope or help them to know that someone cares?
The bottom line here?
Think of others and be BOLD in the joy and excitement of your own creation. Allow yourself the rapture of knowing the Universe is moving through you and the side effect of that is PURE BLISS. Chase your dreams down like they are the last bus of the night!
And know that you can do a lot of it from your sofa at home!
